In this role you will bridge business needs and IT delivery to support Murphy’s infrastructure projects. You’ll work with sponsors and stakeholders to define requirements, analyse processes, and shape solutions that align with technology standards and strategy. You’ll facilitate workshops, create clear user stories, and support testing and change management. - Engage with sponsors and stakeholders to identify, analyse, prioritise, and document requirements (functional and non-functional)
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, gap analyses, and process mapping to define current and future state processes and build business cases
- Analyse documentation, data, and change requests to inform triage, signposting, and prioritisation
- Translate business needs into concise, testable requirements or user stories and present them to stakeholders
- Identify interdependencies, risks, and issues impacting IT project delivery and work plans
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and vendors to define solution options and feasibility
- Support the delivery lifecycle with requirement clarifications, stand-ups, and deliverable reviews
- Analyse existing processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimisation
- Contribute to continuous improvement through technology-enabled enhancements
- Design new workflows, data models, and system enhancements
- Develop test cases and acceptance criteria; support system and user acceptance testing
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, and IT staff for alignment and communication
- Prepare user guides and training materials; support change management and handover to Business as Usual
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline
- BCS Business Analysis qualifications or equivalent experience
- Proven experience delivering digital transformation as a Business Analyst
- Excellent verbal and written communication with experience documenting requirements, process mapping, user stories, and benefits analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or with cross-functional teams; excellent listening, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels
- Good understanding of change management (ADKAR or similar)
- Strong knowledge of product development, Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies; familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, Visio, BPM tools
- Willingness to travel to Murphy sites as required
