Your typical day as an IT Business Analyst:

You will connect business strategy, operational needs and technology delivery. This exciting IT role discovers and defines requirements, maps and redesigns end-to-end processes, assesses options, and translates agreed outcomes into clear specifications that delivery teams and suppliers can implement and test.

Working across IT and the wider business, the IT Business Analyst will spearhead initiatives including: simplifying complex processes and systems, improving data quality and control, enabling automation and self-service, and supporting successful delivery of strategic change including ERP and core systems transformation.

You’ll already have:

Essential skills/experience:

• Demonstrable business analysis experience within IT-enabled change, transformation or complex operational environments.

• Strong process mapping, requirements engineering, workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to analyse complex information, identify root causes and present practical recommendations.

• Experience producing high-quality process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and process requirements documents

• Experience supporting UAT, defect management, implementation and benefits review.

• Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to challenge constructively at all organisational levels.

• Good understanding of systems integration, data flows, information security, data protection and operational controls.

• A highly organised, pragmatic approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Desirable skills/experience

• Experience of ERP selection or implementation, field service, supply chain, customer service or finance transformation.

• Experience with Agile and waterfall delivery approaches and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or similar.

• Working knowledge of BPMN, UML, Lean process improvement, Power BI, SQL or data modelling concepts.

• Experience working with third-party software suppliers and system integrators.
