IT Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

In this role you provide BAU operational support for customer infrastructure, balancing health checks, reporting, and ITIL-aligned incident/problem/change management. You work with cross-functional teams to ensure standards, compliance, and documentation are kept up-to-date. You proactively identify stability and performance improvements and contribute to infrastructure roadmaps and design documentation. • Provide BAU ops support across customer infrastructure with health checks, reporting, and incident/Change/Problem/Request management per ITIL
• Manage incidents and problems within agreed SLAs and perform root-cause analysis for recurring or major incidents
• Collaborate with projects to ensure designs meet customer requirements
• Ensure environments comply with established standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain professional, up-to-date technical documentation
• Proactively identify improvements to enhance stability, availability and performance
• Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps, proposals, impact assessments, and statements of work
• Deliver project tasks such as installation and configuration of new equipment
• Contribute to design and implementation of new infrastructure platforms with HLD/LLD and support docs
• Support delivery of technical excellence across the Infrastructure team

• Hands-on experience with datacentre technology stacks in enterprise IT environments
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-site, multi-discipline incidents
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server, Virtualisation (Hyper-V preferred), and Azure
• Vendor certifications at associate/professional level (Microsoft, VMware, etc.)
• Willingness to undertake HM Government security clearance
• Experience with multiple technical areas including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS/DHCP
• Experience deploying infrastructure in Azure and using scripting/automation tools (Terraform, Jenkins) for IaC
• ITIL experience and collaborative/remote team experience
