IT - Database Analyst V-Oracle

Randstad Canada is recruiting an experienced Oracle database professional for a six-month consulting contract supporting enterprise database administration and platform operations.

Location: Toronto, ON
Work arrangement: Hybrid, currently two days per week on-site
Term: Approximately six months, with possible extension
Schedule: Monday to Friday during core business hours, with occasional evening or weekend operational support
Pay: $61.47–$69.30 per hour

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and tune Oracle databases for performance, data integrity, security, and availability.
• Execute database changes, scripts, schema updates, and application deployment packages across development and production environments.
• Support Oracle GoldenGate data replication and administer workloads hosted on Oracle Cloud.
• Investigate and resolve database errors, performance issues, and connectivity incidents, including root-cause analysis.
• Apply patches and upgrades, verify backups and recovery, and manage database capacity.
• Coordinate database changes and troubleshooting with application, systems, and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on Oracle DBA or database analyst experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience administering databases in Oracle Cloud (OCI) and working with Oracle GoldenGate.
• Experience with database deployments, DDL/DML migrations, and release execution.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge, including database contention, locking, resource constraints, and performance.
• Microsoft SQL Server experience and English/French bilingualism are considered assets.
