Overview

As Technology Director, you will lead the firm’s technology strategy to enable high‑quality, efficient project delivery across disciplines. You will influence executive priorities, manage data and digital capabilities, and guide responsible adoption of emerging tech, including AI. Working with the Management Board, you translate strategic intent into deliverable plans while balancing innovation with risk and governance. This role offers the chance to shape technology-enabled services in a values‑led, environmentally focused consultancy.

Responsibilities
  • define and execute the technology strategy to support project delivery and growth
  • lead adoption of new tools, platforms and data visualization capabilities
  • oversee information security governance and regulatory compliance
  • manage budgets, vendors and MSP relationships to ensure robust delivery
  • translate strategic goals into actionable projects and roadmaps
  • collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to drive change
  • champion responsible use of AI and emerging technologies
  • engage with users across the business to ensure adoption and value
  • lead and develop the IT/Technology team and foster strong governance policies
Key requirements
  • experienced IT leader with scale-up or mid‑sized business experience (revenue 25–75m)
  • consultancy or services sector background preferred
  • track record implementing technologies to enable business transformation
  • experience working with a managed service provider
  • extensive knowledge of Microsoft environment (MS365, Azure)
  • cybersecurity/governance experience and policies management
  • relevant IT qualifications/accreditations (e.g., ITIL, Prince2)
  • hands‑on and strategic capability
  • strong budgeting and vendor management skills
  • effective, engaging communicator with stakeholder management skills
  • project management expertise
  • ability to balance innovation with risk and maintain sound judgement
