IT Engineer

In this role you deliver IT solutions and support for project delivery at QinetiQ’s Farnborough site. You will work with a skilled team to install, integrate and maintain hardware and software, lead small projects, and provide guidance to junior colleagues. You’ll build strong customer relationships and produce technical documentation and presentations. • Deliver hardware/software builds and systems installation/integration
• Technically lead small projects or parts of larger projects
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Produce technical outputs such as documentation, test plans and user guides
• Provide mentoring support to junior colleagues
• Tackle increasing complexity by deriving solutions from existing practices

• Previous experience in an IT engineering role
• Broad understanding of IT concepts and principles
• Broad experience with Windows Client/Server Infrastructure, Networking, Virtualisation (Hyper-V) and Linux
• First degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Willingness to learn and adapt, on-site role in Farnborough
• DV clearance willingness (required)
