Overview

In this role you will support Osborne Clarke’s global data and voice network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and core services to sustain a cloud-smart approach. You’ll work within the IT Services team to deliver reliable, secure operations and contribute to migrations and deployments. You will engage with cross-functional teams, act as a service provider for colleagues and clients, and help drive operational excellence. This is a hands-on, on-call role in a high-responsibility environment offering meaningful impact in a global legal firm.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 3rd line support for global data and voice network infrastructure, platforms, servers and systems
  • Manage and operate operational platforms, hardware, operating systems and core technologies including provisioning and documentation
  • Support incident, request, change and problem management per ITIL framework
  • Contribute to on-call escalations and out-of-hours support as required
  • Maintain security and integrity of network components and data across client environments
  • Collaborate with suppliers and other IT teams to ensure smooth delivery of products
  • Contribute to testing and support of infrastructure for internal/external applications
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies and advise on improvements
  • Create and maintain documentation and knowledge articles
Key requirements
  • Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with SaaS solutions
  • Scripting/automation knowledge (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Cloud networking experience (ExpressRoute, DirectConnect)
  • Internet/WAN/LAN/VPN data communications experience
  • Networking standards, hardware and protocols knowledge
  • Network monitoring systems (e.g., SolarWinds)
  • Unified Communications telephony (Microsoft Teams)
  • Windows Server and Windows 11 administration
  • Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Detail-oriented and well-organised
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • SaaS management
  • Scripting/Automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible)
