IT Infrastructure Manager

In this role you will lead the design, delivery, and ongoing management of Microsoft-based server, communications, and cloud solutions for a fintech group. You will coach a small engineering team and drive infrastructure improvements, documentation, and change projects. You will own DR, continuity, and hybrid cloud initiatives while coordinating with management on key deliverables. This position offers autonomy to create new solutions with direct visibility to senior leadership in a global firm.

• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and people management for the Infrastructure team
• Oversee delivery of key infrastructure deliverables to management
• Design and deliver Windows-based infrastructure including Azure, on-premise, and hybrid setups
• Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure (servers, storage, security, virtualization)
• Document systems architecture, configuration, and testing evidence
• Create solution designs, cost estimations, and basic project management for implementations
• Collaborate on desktop builds/images integration with server infrastructure
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity for all server-based solutions
• Provide 2nd line support for complex infrastructure issues
• Maintain asset and configuration management database and track configurations
• Control key system configuration parameters
• Keep application software and patches up to date
• Maintain test and development environments

• Experience leading and developing technical engineers
• Microsoft infrastructure qualification (e.g., MCSE)
• Design and implementation of Azure-based services (ADFS, Virtualisation, SaaS, PaaS)
• Experience with resilient services (load balancing, availability sets, geo-redundancy, Azure updates)
• Azure DR and backup solutions experience
• Office 365 interoperability experience
• Strong on-premise and hybrid server solutions management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Exposure to IS27001 standards (desirable)
• Basic network/comms knowledge (IP, Routing, VLAN)
