IT Infrastructure Platform Architect

In this role you will engineer, implement, and operate Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange Online and Identity solutions to deliver secure, automated, and scalable platform services. You’ll collaborate with Architecture, Security, Development, and Operations to ensure integrated and reliable delivery. You’ll embed security, resilience, and operability while driving standardisation and automation to reduce risk and manual effort. This senior role focuses on shaping and stabilising cloud and identity platforms at scale and cost-efficient operations.

• Engineered and supported end-to-end cloud, M365, and identity solutions aligned to standards
• Administered and operated Exchange Online and related services within M365
• Managed Azure landing zones, subscriptions, connectivity, and governance
• Engineered Active Directory and Entra ID authentication, CA, identity governance, and directory integration
• Implemented secure configurations, monitoring, logging, encryption, and policy enforcement across cloud and identity platforms
• Delivered standardisation, automation, tooling, and operational consistency across cloud, workplace, and identity platforms
• Acted as senior escalation point for engineering and operational issues
• Participated in on-call rotation for priority incident support
• Led automation, standardisation, and optimisation to reduce manual effort and improve stability
• Collaborated with Architecture, Security, Development, and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Supported incident, problem, and continuous service improvement activities
• Engaged with vendors for implementation, operation, and issue resolution

• Extensive experience in engineering and supporting Exchange Online, Identity, workplace, and Azure Cloud
• Microsoft 365 configuration, administration, and security expertise
• Experience with Defender for Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection
• Understanding of SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
• Experience with Microsoft Purview, Compliance Center, and retention policies
• Tenant-level Exchange administration via EAC and PowerShell
• Identity and access management with Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure AD Connect
• Security configuration and resilience practices
• Automation and operational tooling (PowerShell, scripts, IaC concepts)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving in enterprise-scale environments
