Overview

In this role you lead a skilled IT infrastructure team responsible for network, hosting and server services across on-premises and cloud. You’ll collaborate with management, 3rd parties and product owners to deliver reliable infrastructure in line with roadmaps and architecture. You’ll govern projects, manage incidents and changes, and ensure DR/BCP readiness. This is a hands-on leadership position with a focus on security, compliance and continuous improvement, offering impact across the enterprise IT landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of 3rd line infrastructure engineers
  • Collaborate with IT management, vendors, and product owners to deliver efficient services
  • Oversee governance of projects to align with roadmaps and architecture
  • Handle incidents, requests, and escalation for service delivery
  • Drive proactive incident, problem, change, and configuration management
  • Ensure adequate resource coverage for ongoing support
  • Maintain DR/BCP plans and regular testing for required RPOs/RTOs
  • Manage third-party relationships to maximize value
Key requirements
  • Proven experience supporting 24x7 operations and leading a multi-skilled team through change
  • Delivered a cloud migration project
  • Strong people management skills for technical specialists
  • Experience planning, designing, building and running enterprise IT infrastructure with internal and third-party resources
  • Ability to implement infrastructure changes in a fast-paced change environment
  • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure management practices, automation/orchestration, monitoring, and logging
  • Experience in mixed on-premises/cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
  • Understanding of information security threats and mitigation
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification and ITIL-aligned experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Broad understanding of technologies (Microsoft server, Linux/open-source, virtualization, data centre, edge networking, endpoint security, Office 365, Azure)
