As Site MES Manager you lead the manufacturing MES environment and team at Caswell, owning reliability, availability, and lifecycle management of the PROMIS MES platform. You will partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality and IT to sustain continuous production and drive MES modernization. The role combines MES and semiconductor process know-how with strong people leadership to balance ongoing operations and strategic upgrades. You will shape long-term MES capabilities while ensuring uninterrupted factory performance. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on reliability, governance, and cross-functional collaboration.

• IT service and application ownership for Caswell PROMIS MES environment with accountability for reliability, availability, performance, support and lifecycle management
• Maintain stable 24x7 MES operation supporting mission-critical processes
• Establish monitoring, incident management, escalation and support processes for MES and related applications
• Oversee administration and support of PROMIS MES on VAX/VMS, migrating to Linux/Oracle
• Support PROMIS components and technologies (Datalink, Interactive Scripts, PROMIS modules, ODS, VMS DCL) and interfaces to equipment and enterprise systems
• Prioritize production incidents and drive rapid resolution; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Establish backup, disaster recovery, business continuity and system recovery procedures
• Ensure change-management, testing, validation and deployment processes for production changes
• Lead and manage the Caswell MES IT team including engineers, developers, analysts and support resources
• Set clear responsibilities, priorities, objectives and performance expectations; mentor and develop team
• Foster cross-training and documentation to reduce dependency and improve resilience
• Develop succession and knowledge-transfer plans for legacy PROMIS/VAX expertise
• Assess and grow MES capabilities to support current PROMIS and future MES technologies
• Coordinate internal staff, contractors, vendors, and IT teams to deliver reliable MES services
• Serve as primary MES IT partner for Manufacturing, Operations, Process and Equipment Engineering, Quality, Automation, and site leadership
• Translate manufacturing requirements into MES solutions and support priorities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, data availability and system reliability
• Set priorities for MES enhancements based on value, risk, complexity and resources
• Communicate MES performance, risks, incidents and improvement plans to site and IT leadership
• Establish technical standards, documentation and development practices
• Maintain MES architecture documentation and interfaces
• Apply cybersecurity controls, patching and vulnerability management with manufacturing availability in mind
• Partner with infrastructure, network, database and cybersecurity teams to ensure end-to-end reliability
• Manage risks related to legacy systems, aging platforms and specialized skills
• Support audits and ensure MES IT controls meet regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain technology lifecycle and modernization roadmap for Caswell MES
• Identify risks in legacy PROMIS/VAX and mitigate appropriately
• Evaluate and pursue MES modernization opportunities; lead upgrades and migrations
• Balance long-term strategy with uninterrupted operations during modernization
• Develop transition and knowledge retention strategies for MES transformations
• Align Caswell MES roadmap with wider manufacturing and digital transformation efforts

• 10+ years in MES, manufacturing apps or factory automation in semiconductor/high-tech environments
• 5+ years leading technical teams or MES/Manufacturing IT
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor processes and MES workflows
• Experience supporting mission-critical manufacturing systems in 24x7 environments
• Deep understanding of MES architecture, data flows, equipment integration and enterprise system integration
• Experience with PROMIS MES, preferably on VAX/VMS
• Knowledge of PROMIS components: Datalink, Interactive Scripts, ODS, PROMIS monitoring/admin
• Familiarity with OpenVMS/VAX and DCL scripting
• Proven incident management, troubleshooting and cross-functional coordination
• Experience with application lifecycle, change management, disaster recovery and business continuity
