IT Manager

In this IT Manager role at a London-based bank, you lead a small IT team to maintain secure, reliable technology infrastructure and support regulatory compliance. You will shape cybersecurity strategy with Group Technology, ensure incident readiness, and promote secure practices across the London office. • Manage day-to-day technology infrastructure to ensure smooth bank operations
• Evaluate and prioritize cybersecurity initiatives with Group Technology
• Develop and test incident response plans and coordinate security incident responses
• Raise cybersecurity awareness and conduct annual staff training
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and applicable regulations; assess vendor/regulatory compliance
• Provide second/third level support with Group Technology for IT issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve backlogs, remove blockers, and uphold deliverable quality
• Maintain and enforce organizational IT standards and policies
• Coordinate installations, upgrades, and maintenance; supervise and train IT staff

• 7–10 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in management
• Experience in financial/banking IT environments (preferred)
• Professional certifications in security or governance (desirable)
• Experience writing and updating IT policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to train and motivate IT staff; cross-functional team leadership
• Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks is advantageous
