Overview

In this role you will lead IT deployment within the ABS area, aligning systems with corporate policies and driving effective technology adoption. You will collaborate with IMS, management, and local teams to assess IT effectiveness, propose improvements, and ensure compliant IT services. You will oversee staff, training, and strategic technology decisions to support ABS objectives. This is an opportunity to shape IT strategy in a global maritime services context with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with IMS standards, policies, and procedures
  • Communicate project status and IT deployment progress to ABS senior management
  • Coordinate user support across the ABS Enterprise Network using internal and external teams
  • Review audits and customer feedback; develop corrective action plans
  • Engage with ABS management to prioritize system improvements and expansions
  • Select and supervise staff; oversee performance feedback and training
  • Recommend and monitor end-user training for software/hardware use
  • Evaluate bid packages for hardware, software, and services
  • Consult with management to define information needs and project boundaries
  • Coordinate with IMS to assess equipment needs and plan upgrades
  • Provide strategic IT input to ABS on current/future IT structures and program integration
  • Engage with other functions to align user and business needs
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science, from an accredited university
  • Minimum of ten years of IT management experience
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting for capital projects and OPEX
  • Proven track record in implementing major technology shifts and leading technical teams
  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication abilities
  • Professional competency in IT areas, including software development or business analysis
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Applications, Microsoft Azure and Exchange Server, Oracle ERP, MS Power BI; Cisco routers and switches, VPN and VoIP, MS Teams Voice/video
