Overview

In this role you will deliver 3rd line network support within a skilled Infrastructure team and drive network projects for a global footprint. You will work on proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and improving core network performance, collaborating with project teams to deploy site moves and enhancements. The position involves on-call duties and travel, with a focus on security policy adherence and service reliability. A dynamic, globally impactful engineering opportunity with exposure to multiple vendors and SD-WAN strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor IT systems and implement preventative measures to minimise downtime
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
  • Test performance of business applications, network and servers; provide statistics and improvement plans
  • Collaborate with Project Management to deliver site deployments/moves
  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and assist in enforcement
  • Participate in on-call rota and weekend network maintenance
  • Handle additional/ad hoc duties to meet business needs
Key requirements
  • CCNA level certification
  • Minimum 3 years in an IT support role
  • Understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN; knowledge of BGP and OSPF
