Overview

In this role you will support and develop Howden's IT systems, focusing on Windows-based infrastructure and cloud services. You will work within a cross-office team to maintain, secure, and rollout IT solutions for internal users and external clients. You’ll handle server, network, Azure, and 365 services, contribute to IT strategy, and drive infrastructure projects. The position offers hybrid work across multiple UK offices and opportunities to collaborate with diverse teams to improve IT resilience and service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 3rd line user support and troubleshoot network issues
  • Collaborate with software teams to deploy and maintain company software infrastructure
  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects and rollout of new hardware/software
  • Administer servers, network, Microsoft Azure and 365 services
  • Manage multiple environments (Production, Development, etc.)
  • Document and implement backup, DR, and email security measures
  • Ensure IT security by applying hot-fixes, best practices, and security updates
  • Maintain company email and internet communications
  • Contribute to IT strategy and evaluate new hardware, systems, and software
Key requirements
  • Networking Certifications (CCNA level)
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure certifications
  • Experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Azure, MS 365, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, and related administration
  • Experience managing server room UPS, network, and data centre equipment
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Cyber Essentials+ awareness
  • Strong communication with both IT and non-IT groups
  • Awareness of current IT developments and their business impact
  • Ability to represent the firm in client-facing projects
