IT OPERATIONS ENGINEER – Quant trading

Overview
In this role you will maintain and support core IT infrastructure and end-user environments across Windows, Linux, and macOS. You’ll resolve incidents, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to projects that improve reliability. The role sits at the intersection of operations and engineering, offering visibility across systems and business-critical workflows. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure steady trading infrastructure and efficient user support, with opportunities to grow technical skills in a highly technical, user-facing team.
Responsibilities- Respond to support tickets and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues across a diverse user base
- Build and configure laptops, desktops, and servers across Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Support domain infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, and access control
- Monitor critical systems, identify risks or outages, and contribute to resolution planning
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell or Bash) to streamline tasks
- Collaborate with technical teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Document processes, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures for internal knowledge base
- Participate in occasional evening or weekend maintenance and support tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and a service mindset
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure across networking, system administration, and endpoint management
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS (client/server), Active Directory, and enterprise IT environments
- Clear written and verbal communication, especially for non-technical users
- Comfortable working across platforms; Linux/macOS experience is a plus
- Scripting capability in PowerShell or Bash is highly desirable
