Overview

In this role you will design, develop, and implement software solutions for manufacturing, aligning business needs with the full software lifecycle. You will document solutions and analyze requirements to shape robust system designs. The position emphasizes compliance with standards, performance, and continuous improvement while adopting modern technologies. You will collaborate across IT and OT domains to safeguard assets and deliver business value in a hands-on, on-site environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions across the full software development lifecycle
  • Document solutions with technical docs, flowcharts, layouts, and specifications
  • Assess feasibility via requirements analysis, problem definition, and solution design
  • Prepare, install, and maintain software applications ensuring coding and performance standards
  • Continuously improve applications and processes, including policy and technology updates
  • Stay current with tools and best practices through learning and adoption of modern technologies
  • Contribute to testing, validation, and certification to ensure quality and agility
  • Protect IT assets and support decentralized decision-making while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with full software development lifecycle (requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, operations)
  • Familiarity with Agile environments and software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD)
  • Proven experience with cloud-based systems and architectures (Azure, AWS, IoT, AI/ML) and integration technologies (APIs, REST, SOAP, webhooks)
  • Proficiency in an enterprise language such as .NET, Java, or C# with OO design principles
  • Operational Technology and Manufacturing knowledge including OT systems (AMRs, Cobots, PLCs), KPI concepts (OEE, MTBF, cycle time), SPC and SCADA, and OT communication technologies (OPC, MQTT, TCP)
  • Ability to follow IT change management methodologies and manage stakeholder communication
  • Strong collaboration and leadership, bridging Plant IT, GPVs, and Client IT organizations
