IT Procurement Manager

In this role you will steward IT procurement for Schroders, driving strategic sourcing, supplier management and value capture across a global, matrixed organisation. You will lead IT category sourcing, SRM, and contracting to maximise commercial advantage while aligning with the group procurement strategy. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams to turn requirements into effective sourcing models and continuous procurement improvements. This is a globally distributed role that combines strategic direction with hands-on negotiation and analytics, enabling better outcomes for Schroders and its clients.

• Lead IT category management including strategic sourcing, contract, performance and risk management
• Own Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) across the IT supply chain
• Drive activity across business areas to map requirements to sourcing strategy and supplier relationships
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to align requirements with the overall procurement strategy
• Deliver procurement services that maximise commercial advantage and select appropriate processes for products/services
• Influence stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes for Schroders
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with technology suppliers
• Champion continuous improvement and procurement best practice globally
• Report on procurement activities, including savings and benefits achieved
• Demonstrate experience in a strategic procurement setting and familiarity with major outsourcing arrangements
• Establish and manage an SRM framework and ensure adaptability in a changing environment
• Utilise procurement systems and tools and apply strong analytics to derive insights
• Demonstrate excellent organisation, presentation and problem-solving skills
• Show strong negotiation abilities and IT/numeracy proficiency
• Maintain a positive, proactive attitude under pressure and foster cross-functional collaboration

• Extensive IT category expertise with experience in major outsourcing
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships across a global IT supply chain
• Strong negotiation and contracting capabilities with technology suppliers
• Experience standing up an SRM framework and managing procurement systems/tools
• Track record of delivering savings and benefits through strategic procurement
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic, time-critical environment with minimal supervision
