Company Description

We are FBC UK, Fox's Burton's Companies! ……And we bake the UK's most incredible biscuits (we might be slightly biased, but we will leave that for you to judge).

FBC UK was a match made in heaven, with two of the top UK biscuits manufacturers (Burton's Biscuits and Fox's Biscuits) coming together to create one unique, integrated company.

We are home to famous iconic brands, including Maryland, Fox's, Jammie Dodger & Rocky, to name just a few. We are proud manufacturing partners to some of the biggest UK retailers and household names. We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK, located at Isle of Arran, Livingston, Blackpool, Llantarnam, Edinburgh, Kirkham, Batley & Dorset and our HQ in St Pauls. Together, we employ circa 4,000 amazing colleagues across all our locations.

Whilst we know that we have delicious products we also know that that the key ingredient to our success is our people, and the passion we have for our brands. You could be the jammy to our dodger, party ring to our Fox's or the choc-chip to our Maryland?! We knead people with innovative ideas, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the commitment to drive FBC UK to success.

We are committed to building an inclusive workforce that feels empowered to build a fulfilling and successful career. By embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) we create a supportive environment for people to thrive and strive to have more positive impact.

We understand that having formal and on-the-job learning opportunities is key to our colleagues’ professional and personal growth. We are committed to providing an environment where everyone can learn from each other and grow through a variety of learning experiences.

Our colleagues make our business special. With strong community values, we believe FBC UK is a more prosperous and fun place to work when people feel free to be themselves. We believe in the power of being authentic, entrepreneurial and supporting each other whilst meeting our business goals.

About The Role

The IT Programme Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of FBC's portfolio of strategic technology and business change initiatives. The role ensures that projects and programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while delivering measurable business value and supporting FBC's long-term strategic objectives. The position acts as a key link between FBC business teams, IT, external partners, and Ferrero, ensuring alignment, effective governance, stakeholder engagement, and successful adoption of change.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Delivery of Strategic Technology Projects & Programmes: Manage the successful delivery of large, complex, cross-functional projects and programmes that support FBC's business strategy, ensuring agreed scope, timelines, quality, costs, and benefits are achieved.
  • Own Programme Governance and Portfolio Reporting: Establish and maintain effective governance across the portfolio, including project plans, steering committees, status reporting, RAID management, decision logs, and executive updates to ensure informed decision-making and successful delivery. Maintain regular alignment with Ferrero programme office to ensure plans remain aligned, dependencies are managed, and delivery progresses as expected.
  • Act as the Primary Interface Between Ferrero and FBC: Coordinate the local delivery across FBC of Ferrero-led initiatives, ensuring business resource availability, local requirements are represented, UK activities are completed on time, stakeholders remain engaged, and dependencies between global and local teams are effectively managed.
  • Drive Business Change and Adoption: Ensure that people, process, data, and technology changes are embedded successfully within the business by ensuring Business Leads and P&O are fully engaged in projects, coordinating change management activities, communications, training, readiness activities, and transition into business-as-usual operations.
  • Manage Risks, Issues, Dependencies and Escalations: Proactively identify, track, and resolve project and programme risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating where required to prevent delays, protect business outcomes, and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Resources and Workstreams: Bring together business, IT, external partners, and Ferrero teams to ensure resources are available and aligned, responsibilities are clear, and all workstreams are coordinated towards common objectives.
  • Ensure Benefits Realisation and Business Value: Work with business leaders to define expected outcomes, measure benefits, and ensure technology investments deliver tangible improvements in reporting, decision-making, efficiency, resilience, compliance, and business performance.
  • Develop and Mature Project & Programme Management Practices: Champion consistent methodologies, standards, tools, templates, and reporting across FBC IT, working with Ferrero to establish repeatable delivery practices and improve organisational project delivery capability.
