Overview
In this IT Project Manager role, you will shape and mobilise initiatives within a major Energy Trading programme, turning concepts into executable projects. You’ll lead discovery, define scope, and establish governance to keep the programme on track. You’ll work across business, IT, and external partners to deliver Endur hosting, data purging, and emissions redesign initiatives. This is a chance to impact large-scale energy trading projects and governance in a global organisation.
Responsibilities- Lead discovery and shaping activities for pre-project initiatives
- Translate high-level objectives into clearly defined scopes and deliverables
- Define business requirements, success measures, risks, constraints and dependencies
- Engage stakeholders to assess current processes, systems, data and operating models
- Develop project charters, scope documents, roadmaps and mobilisation plans
- Produce business cases and executive recommendations
- Define resource requirements, delivery approaches and governance structures
- Manage cross-project dependencies and align with programme roadmap
- Plan, execute and control projects within company framework
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams and provide governance updates to leadership
- Proven experience defining and shaping projects from early concepts
- Strong discovery, assessment and mobilisation experience
- Ability to rapidly establish scope, requirements and delivery approaches
- Experience developing charters, business cases and investment proposals
- Project management experience with Agile and Waterfall
- Experience establishing governance, reporting and control frameworks
- Strong planning, budgeting, forecasting and tracking
- Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and change control
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Excellent workshop facilitation, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments
- Experience delivering business and technology change initiatives
- Ability to work across business, process, data and technology domains
- Experience coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreams
- Knowledge of Endur and commodity trading environments (listed as desirable)
