Overview

In this IT SAP Project Manager role you drive end-to-end SAP initiatives within Yorkshire Water’s multi-platform SAP landscape. You’ll govern complex programs, manage budgets and risks, and align delivery with strategic objectives to create measurable business value. You will influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure practical benefits realisation. This role offers a chance to shape SAP transformations that support customers, compliance, and environmental goals at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end SAP projects and programs across HR, SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, Finance, Procurement, and Corporate Services
  • Oversee all lifecycle phases from business case to benefits realisation
  • Establish SAP governance, controls, RAID, and reporting processes
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance; provide commercial oversight of partners
  • Ensure integration across SAP modules, technical teams, and external suppliers
  • Lead cutover planning and transition to operational support
  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Drive decision-making in governance forums and investment boards
  • Champion delivery best practices and continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • Significant experience delivering SAP projects and programmes in complex enterprise environments
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP Practitioner or equivalent
  • Experience delivering across SAP HR, SuccessFactors, ECC6, S/4HANA or related SAP platforms
  • Proven experience managing large budgets, forecasts and financial controls
  • Strong governance, risk management and project assurance experience
  • Experience managing system integrators and SAP delivery partners
  • Excellent stakeholder management with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Experience leading virtual and multi-disciplinary delivery teams
  • Track record delivering business value and benefits through SAP transformation programmes
