IT Solution Architect

In this role you will provide technical oversight of the local IT landscape and align it with central IT and security standards. You’ll drive modernisation through automation, cloud adoption and better integration, while supporting secure, effective technology solutions in a fast-moving trading environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust designs and roadmaps. The role offers the chance to shape local architecture and governance in line with sustainability and innovation goals. This is a hands-on, pragmatic position focused on delivering tangible business outcomes.

• Maintain an end-to-end view of the local technology landscape including infrastructure, networks, applications, cloud services, integrations, data flows and third-party dependencies.
• Act as the technical interface with Group/central IT to ensure local initiatives align with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity standards.
• Lead modernisation efforts by identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, cloud adoption and improved integration.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and contribute to design and implementation of solutions.
• Support evaluation and adoption of new applications, cloud services and AI-enabled solutions with attention to feasibility, security and operations.
• Support lifecycle activities (upgrades, migrations, rationalisation, decommissioning) to reduce legacy complexity.
• Coordinate technical delivery with internal stakeholders and external providers, ensuring clear ownership and governance.
• Assist incident/problem resolution requiring cross-technology analysis and long-term fixes.
• Maintain technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, solution documents, inventories and roadmaps.

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Experience in infrastructure, technical or solution architecture or related roles.
• Proven experience coordinating with central IT teams and external technology providers in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, applications and integrations.
• Experience supporting implementations, infrastructure changes, upgrades, migrations and decommissioning.
• Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities across multiple technology domains.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Pragmatic, hands-on approach to IT operations and solution delivery.
