IT Specialist

In this role you will join a major technology programme to build automated, repeatable components for an enterprise API platform on Google Cloud Platform. You will implement Terraform-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Apigee X configurations, collaborating with platform, security and architecture teams. You will ensure environment separation, automated validation, and reusable deployment patterns across dev/test/prod, including Cloud Run workloads. This is a hands-on position focused on turning designs into reliable automation with real impact.

• Build reusable Terraform-based infrastructure
• Develop automated configuration for Apigee X and GCP
• Create/maintain CI/CD pipelines for validation, testing, deployment, and promotion
• Automate API platform configuration and deployment
• Ensure environment separation across dev/test/prod
• Implement automated validation and testing for changes
• Develop golden-path templates and reusable deployment patterns
• Deploy workloads with Cloud Run and manage IAM/access controls
• Troubleshoot networking, deployment, and configuration issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Strong commercial experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with version-controlled infrastructure and automated deployment practices
• Strong understanding of GCP IAM, service accounts, networking and environment configuration
• Practical experience with Cloud Run and cloud-native workload deployment
• Experience developing automated testing and validation for infrastructure or platform changes
• Practical knowledge of Apigee X and API platform concepts
• Experience with Git-based development and deployment workflows
• Scripting or development experience using Python, Bash or similar
