Overview

As an IT Support Specialist you will provide end-user technical help, across local and remote teams, covering desktop, laptop, server, and network issues. You’ll collaborate with IT peers to maintain services, improve incident management, and support global operations from our London office. You’ll diagnose, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, helping users work efficiently. This role offers scope to influence service quality and contributes to an inclusive, international IT culture.

Responsibilities
  • Provide end-user support for desktop and laptop hardware/software (local and remote)
  • Troubleshoot PC/workstation, server, network, and peripheral issues
  • Install, configure, upgrade and repair hardware and software across Windows, Mac, servers, and peripherals
  • Assist in managing email, print, backup servers, and related OS/software
  • Support and troubleshoot local, WAN, and VPN connectivity; coordinate with global IT teams
  • Engage with vendors to resolve technical problems and implement improvements
  • Enforce incident management processes to meet service levels
  • Analyze incident trends, develop effective resolutions, and prevent recurrence
  • Design and enforce request handling and escalation policies
  • Utilize online resources for problem resolution and track incident trends to generate reports
  • Assess need for system reconfigurations based on incident data and recommend changes
  • Follow best practices to protect company systems and data
Key requirements
  • 2+ years in 1st/2nd line IT support for a diverse user base (preferably across countries)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint (MOSS)
  • Experience configuring/installing repairing PC hardware and printers
  • Experience supporting remote users and offices
  • Familiarity with Dell & Lenovo hardware; IP-based phone systems
  • Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, WAN)
  • Experience with Citrix/Terminal Server and VMware environments preferred
