Overview

In this role you will support critical manufacturing and supply chain operations at Cummins Darlington, enabling IT-enabled business processes. You will work with experienced colleagues to deploy and support key enterprise applications and digital solutions. You will analyze issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to automation and analytics initiatives that drive operational excellence. This is a hands-on opportunity to develop IT, analytical, and business skills within a global manufacturing technology environment. You will operate in a cross-functional setting that values proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide application and technology support for business-critical systems across the Darlington Campus
  • Learn and support Oracle E-Business Suite, CMES, and Microsoft Power Platform with senior team members
  • Investigate and resolve application, data, integration, and system issues using structured problem-solving
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Support design, development, testing, deployment, and enhancement of business applications and workflows
  • Contribute to digital transformation via automation, analytics, reporting, and AI tools
  • Translate business requirements into solution designs, test scenarios, and specifications
  • Develop and maintain operation- and support-facing documentation and standards
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Collaborate with local and global IT teams, vendors, and project teams on technology initiatives
  • Build technical and functional expertise in enterprise systems and emerging technologies
Key requirements
  • IT degree or equivalent education in a related discipline
  • Experience in an IT support or applications-focused role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Interest in software development, business systems, and automation
  • Understanding of business applications, databases, and systems integration
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Proactive, accountable, and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
