Overview

In this role you ensure IT infrastructure supports a global, high-velocity operation. You will troubleshoot incidents, implement infrastructure improvements, and participate in projects for new buildings. Expect on-site work with travel to other sites and collaboration with remote teams. You’ll mentor colleagues and shape IT processes to sustain performance and sustainability at scale. This is a hands-on role at the heart of Amazon’s Ops Tech IT team, offering growth through diverse challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Support end-user devices and building IT infrastructure
  • Contribute to network projects, including IT setup for new buildings
  • Suggest processes to improve IT usage in operational sites
  • Train and mentor IT technicians
  • Occasional on-site and international travel to support operations
  • Collaborate with remote and on-site colleagues to ensure platforms run optimally
  • Implement projects to maintain or improve IT infrastructure
  • Assist in designing infrastructure for new buildings and site launches
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment
  • Experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation
  • Experience in IT client, server, and network service delivery
  • Experience with networking technology (TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP)
  • Experience supporting Windows, Mac and/or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting
  • Experience working with Windows Server technologies
  • Fluent English (C1 level or above)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
