Overview

In this role, you will support the bank’s IT systems and network infrastructure to keep daily operations running smoothly. You’ll join a small IT team in Central London, handling first-line software, hardware, and networking support, while contributing to project delivery and IT improvements. You will also help secure access, manage backups and DR procedures, and support compliance reporting. This is a hybrid position with meaningful impact on operational resilience and security in a financial services environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line IT support for software, hardware, and networking
  • Design, plan and deploy IT projects to enhance infrastructure and applications
  • End-user computing support for all staff
  • Coordinate between London users and Group IT Security for access controls
  • Implement disaster recovery and backup procedures meeting Group standards
  • Support daily/periodic reporting for Compliance and AML controls
  • Perform data extraction for stakeholder reporting
  • Monitor networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) and maintain CCTV/telephony/door access systems
  • Maintain BCP site readiness and branch PABX system continuity
  • Plan maintenance checks to ensure IT operations run smoothly
Key requirements
  • Minimum 2 years IT experience in financial industry; overall 5 years in IT
  • Proficiency in Windows and Red Hat Linux
  • Experience with VMware, backup/recovery tools, endpoint protection
  • Networking knowledge (Cisco, Fortigate, LAN/WAN)
  • Experience with Dell servers/storage
  • Able to manage requests and maintain security/access controls
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in IT/related discipline (or equivalent)
  • Hybrid role readiness (3 days in office)
