IT Systems & Network Support Engineer

Salary: £35,000

Location: Hybrid remote

Division: IT Support Services

Reports to: Support Services Manager

About the Role

We're looking for an IT Systems & Network Support Engineer to join our IT Support Services team. You'll provide first-class technical support to both internal and external customers, keeping their systems and networks running smoothly from troubleshooting day-to-day issues to helping implement new solutions.

What You'll Do

• Resolve Help Desk escalations within SLA targets
• Log, diagnose and fix support issues owning them through to resolution
• Keep customers and colleagues updated throughout each call
• Provide technical guidance and support pre-and post-sales
• Prepare, configure and commission hardware and software
• Evaluate new technologies and feed back findings
• Write and maintain clear technical documentation
• Champion good information security practices

What We're Looking For

Technical experience in some of the following:

• Windows Server/desktop support, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
• Microsoft 365/Exchange, Entra ID, Azure
• Intune Autopilot/ImmyBot deployment
• Networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN) configuration and troubleshooting
• VMware/Hyper‑V virtualisation
• Backup, replication and disaster recovery
• SAN/NAS storage
• Security tools: antivirus, VPN, firewall, MFA/2FA, IAM

You are:

• A confident problem‑solver who works well solo or in a team
• Organised, detail‑oriented and great under pressure
• A strong communicator with a customer‑first attitude
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities at once
• Security and compliance aware

Qualifications

• Working towards or holding a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3, CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent)
• Microsoft certifications are a plus, not a requirement
