Java Agile Developer (Belfast) - Officer

In this role you will help deliver and evolve the Strategic Swaps Platform, working within an Agile team to improve testing, automation, and deployment. You will collaborate across functions to align with the Prime Brokerage technology agenda and deliver high-quality software that supports clients and traders. The role offers exposure to modern tech stacks and opportunities to mentor juniors while contributing to production reliability and scalability. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity in a growth-focused financial technology area.

• Deliver Swap Processing components (Java/Kotlin) within the Strategic Swaps Platform
• Promote developer-led automated testing with a focus on TDD
• Work in an Agile team with CI/CD practices
• Participate in design, planning, and estimation discussions
• Break down work into technical tasks and maintain project documentation
• Collaborate with management to integrate functions and drive product/process improvements
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement of standards and methodologies
• Solve high-impact problems through analysis of business and system processes
• Adhere to architecture blueprint and coding/testing standards
• Support operations and post-mortem reviews; contribute to root-cause analysis
• Mentor junior developers and grads; provide guidance to the team
• Assist in production support to diagnose escalated issues and improve reliability
