Build Java services for Resmed’s healthcare communications platform from Halifax, using AWS technologies in a hybrid work model.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll develop and maintain production web services connecting patients and healthcare providers. You’ll contribute to system design, RESTful APIs, serverless technologies, databases, testing, deployment, and production support. The platform currently supports email and SMS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain production web services
  • Develop capabilities for additional communication channels
  • Contribute to coding, design, and architecture decisions
  • Modernize services and reduce technical debt
  • Support testing, deployment, and production operations

Requirements:

  • Four or more years of software development experience
  • Expert Java and object-oriented design experience
  • Extensive AWS and serverless technology experience
  • Experience with DynamoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of REST, OAuth2, JWT, and microservices
