Overview

As a Core Java Developer in a fast-paced fintech-on-big-data environment, you will help build an enterprise-grade, greenfield data analysis platform. You’ll work within a small, agile dev team to shape architecture, implement robust multi-threaded Java services, and drive quality through tests and CI. You’ll prototype new technologies and collaborate with traders, sales, and technologists to deliver impactful data capabilities. This is a high-impact role with opportunities to influence technology choices and scale an advanced data product.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and own server-side, multi-threaded Java components for a greenfield platform
  • Collaborate on architecture decisions and prototype new technologies
  • Write SQL queries and optimize data access patterns
  • Adopt test-driven development and maintain unit tests within CI pipelines
  • Refactor code as requirements evolve to improve performance and maintainability
  • Leverage open-source tools to accelerate delivery and performance
  • Engage with customers (traders, sales, technologists) to gather feedback and ensure alignment
  • Support deployment and operational aspects in an agile environment
Key requirements
  • 2 years commercial experience
  • Server side multi-threaded core Java
  • Hands-on with writing SQL queries
  • Strong fundamentals of basic data structures and algorithms
