Overview

As a Java Developer in Global's Consumer Growth team, you will shape features for the Global Player ecosystem and internal tools across mobile and smart devices. You will work with modern Java, Spring, and cloud tech to deliver performant, well-tested components and modernise services. You collaborate with developers, leads, and product owners to align with business needs and ensure smooth integration of microservices. You contribute to CI/CD pipelines and run services in Kubernetes, using AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while upholding code quality. This role offers the chance to impact how audiences experience podcasts and radio worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Feature development of new capabilities aligned with business needs and OSS lifecycle
  • Collaborate with developers, leads and product owners to shape implementations and integrate microservices
  • Operate and improve production: CI/CD, Kubernetes (EKS on AWS), monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) and AI-assisted quality
  • Demonstrate impact of work to stakeholders
Key requirements
  • Strong hands-on development with Spring Framework 6+ and Spring Boot 3+
  • Commitment to testing with unit tests, mocks, and TDD
  • Build REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Cloud experience, preferably AWS
  • RDBMS and ORM experience
  • OOP fundamentals and event-driven architecture
  • CI/CD awareness and practice
  • Collaborative, multi-functional team experience
  • Leveraging AI tools to enhance code quality and productivity
