Overview

As a Java Developer in a leading FinTech, you will build software from scratch in a hybrid London setting, using Core Java and modern practices. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, cloud-ready solutions and contribute to a fintech platform at the forefront of the industry. The role offers rapid progression toward senior levels as you tackle performance, concurrency, and architectural challenges. You’ll work in a paired-programming, TDD-driven environment with exposure to GCP and AWS, shaping the next generation of trading and FX applications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop software from scratch in Core Java without frameworks
  • Handle multithreading challenges
  • Engage in TDD, CI/CD workflows
  • Participate in paired-programming environments
  • Work with data structures and algorithms to optimize performance
  • Contribute to cloud-agnostic deployment across GCP/AWS
Key requirements
  • 3-5 years of Java development experience
  • Core Java expertise without frameworks (e.g., Spring)
  • Multithreading experience
