Overview

In this role you will help build a brand-new, low-latency trading platform within a cross-asset team. You’ll work closely with the Head of Trading and the Quant Team to design and implement trading algorithms in Java, while also maintaining strategies and developing supporting tools. The position offers exposure to high-frequency trading in FX and commodities, within a flat, collaborative environment that emphasizes rapid decision-making and impact. This is a chance to shape a greenfield platform at a London-based firm focused on smart, collaborative execution.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new trading algorithms in Java
  • Create a greenfield low-latency trading platform
  • Improve and maintain existing trading strategies
  • Develop utility applications and Excel-based tools for trading
  • Collaborate with traders to gather requirements and resolve issues
  • Build a new back office system
Key requirements
  • Computer Science or Machine Learning degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) from a top 40 university
  • Commercial Java development experience (C++ acceptable but Java core)
  • Core Java
