Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based microservices
• Write clean, scalable and well-tested code
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing activities
• Conduct and approve peer code reviews
• Manage code promotion through multiple environments into production
• Support CI/CD best practices and release processes
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects and Scrum team members

We are offering a 14-month contract inside IR35/Umbrella at a rate of £280-£500 per day. We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a high-profile cloud transformation programme, working within a Scrum team responsible for developing and supporting services across a large-scale AWS-hosted microservices architecture. This role is based in London, Manchester, Newcastle or Glasgow, with 2-3 days on site per week. Existing SC or CTC is preferred, and SC eligibility is required. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-level systems and contribute across the full software development lifecycle in a modern cloud environment.
