Overview

In this role you will design, build and deploy cloud-based microservices to support a greenfield fintech product. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to automated testing and continuous improvement. The position offers remote work with a fast-paced, open, and collaborative culture. You will help shape scalable backend systems while working toward delivering a unique consumer rewards solution.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and deploy microservices into the cloud (AWS)
  • Support other business units by querying data and building tooling
  • Engage in highly collaborative, paired problem solving
  • Collaborate with the full engineering team to improve architecture and processes
  • Prototype new concepts and features; explore technology options
  • Pursue automation and continuous delivery in the workflow
  • Contribute to a greenfield project and work alongside a team building a mobile application
Key requirements
  • At least 2 years of software development experience
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring, and SpringBoot
  • Proficiency with concurrent programming principles and basic design patterns
  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • BSc/BA/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
