Overview

In this role you will help design and build trading algorithms and a new low-latency platform for a London-based quant-backed trading house. You’ll collaborate with the Head of Trading and the Quant Team to translate trading requirements into robust Java solutions across FX, equities and commodities. The position offers exposure to high-frequency trading and a fast-moving, lean environment. You will contribute to scalable, cross-asset trading capabilities and improve existing strategies with real-time exchange connectivity.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop trading algorithms in Java
  • Help engineer a greenfield low-latency trading platform
  • Work on connectivity to financial exchanges
  • Improve and maintain existing trading strategies
  • Develop utility applications and tools to support trading activities
  • Collaborate with traders to capture requirements and resolve issues
Key requirements
  • Commercial Java development experience
  • Core Java proficiency
  • SQL knowledge
  • Strong understanding of general programming concepts
  • C++ experience is a plus but Java is essential
