We're looking for a talented Java Engineer to join a leading technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes for high-profile clients. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern cloud-native applications, enterprise integrations and microservices architectures using the latest Java technologies within collaborative Agile engineering teams. The position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract , with a strong intention to move successful candidates into a permanent position following the initial term.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing Java-based enterprise applications and microservices.
- Building secure, scalable solutions using Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot.
- Working on AWS-hosted cloud solutions.
- Developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Contributing to modern Microservices architectures.
- Working closely with engineering, DevOps, testing and architecture teams.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
- Following engineering best practices including CI/CD, TDD and automated testing.

Security Clearance Requirement
Applicants must be eligible for UK SC Clearance.
This means you must typically:
- Be a British Citizen, hold Settled Status, or Indefinite Leave to Remain.
- Have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years.
- Have no periods of 30 days or longer spent outside the UK during that time.
