Java Full Stack Developer

Compensation- $90,000-$125,000 depending on experience

About The Opportunity

We are building a talent pool of experienced Java Full Stack Developers for current and upcoming opportunities with organizations across the Greater Toronto Area. We are interested in developers with strong experience across Java backend development and modern front-end technologies , who enjoy working in collaborative Agile environments and building scalable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java and related technologies.
• Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive and user-friendly web applications using modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and other developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD, cloud, and DevOps initiatives where applicable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with one or more modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience working with SQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale applications.
