Overview

In this Principal role, you stay hands-on while shaping architecture and engineering standards for a high-throughput platform in telecoms and online payments. You’ll lead technical direction within a close-knit R&D team and mentor engineers while delivering robust backend solutions. Expect to work with microservices, cloud, and event-driven patterns, influencing both technology choices and customer outcomes. This remote-first opportunity combines technical impact with leadership in a growing product area.

Responsibilities
  • Hands-on backend development (approx. 90%) on a large, high-throughput platform
  • Shape technical direction, standards, and architecture for the team
  • Mentor engineers and evaluate new technologies
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions
  • Work with Azure Cloud, microservices, and event-driven architecture in a distributed system
  • Participate in designing and implementing REST APIs and services
