Java Kubernetes Software Engineer

Apply Java development and Kubernetes expertise to naval Combat Management System software through the full engineering lifecycle.

This Software Engineer works within a multidisciplinary Agile team supporting large-scale, high-complexity naval platform systems. The work spans requirements, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and field troubleshooting. The primary technologies include Java, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and review software requirements
• Analyze and review software designs
• Develop Java software with Kubernetes containerization
• Perform unit testing and documentation
• Support integration, deployment, and troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Degree in software, computer engineering, computer science, or related field
• Two to five years of general development experience
• Experience with Kubernetes, Podman, or Docker
• Experience deploying Kubernetes applications through Helm
• Spring Boot, relational databases, Linux, Git, and CI/CD experience
