Overview
In this role, you will be a senior technical contributor within the Equities Trading Technology team, delivering trusted market-leading technology for a scalable, secure platform. You collaborate with quants, traders, and technologists to design, implement, and maintain an algo execution platform serving global markets. You’ll drive performance, reliability, and automation across the trading stack, shaping how the desk executes and analyzes strategies. This is an opportunity to influence cross-functional product delivery in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.
Responsibilities- Design and develop algo trading strategies and the execution platform
- Design and develop the simulation environment and automate testing of strategies against staged markets
- Enhance existing strategies by analyzing analytics and evolving models/signals
- Support the desk by deep-diving into specific cases to interpret strategy behavior and address issues
- Develop scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodologies
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience with low latency, real-time, scalable trading systems
- Experience building/high-throughput messaging APIs and middleware
- Ability to work effectively in a global team and influence platform development
- Experience with algorithmic trading, including systematic trading
- Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
