Java Software Engineer

In this role you will deliver high-quality Java-based solutions within agile Scrum teams, crafting code, tests, and designs that enable digital transformation. You will collaborate across skills to interpret requirements and drive delivery with a strong focus on quality and performance. The position supports client engagements across multiple UK locations, with mobility to onsite client work. You will contribute to shaping technical direction while advancing your expertise in a fast-moving technology environment.

• Deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality
• Produce code, unit tests, feature tests, stubs and integration tests
• Operate in an agile environment as part of a scrum team and participate in sprint rituals
• Collaborate with cross-skilled team members to understand designs and triage issues
• Create and document low-level designs
• Assist in the promotion and delivery of digital transformation engagements

• Excellent hands-on Java experience
• Spring Boot experience
• Hands-on knowledge of open-source tools and standards
• Knowledge of containers (Docker)
• Strong practice of Test Driven Development and test automation
• Experience with DevOps tooling and Continuous Delivery
• Good understanding of non-functional design factors including performance tuning, profiling, debugging
• Familiarity with traditional and agile delivery methods
• Desire to develop skills and lead in the domain
