Java - Software Engineer

In this Java Software Engineer role, you will deliver high-quality code and documentation for critical functionality while operating in an agile scrum team. You’ll implement and test features, collaborate across disciplines to refine designs, and contribute to digital transformation engagements. The position sits within Accenture’s technology and consulting ecosystem, offering hands-on coding, testing, and delivery at scale. You’ll work with modern Java tech, open-source tools, and DevOps practices to drive reliable software outcomes.

• Deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality
• Produce code, unit tests, feature tests, stubs and integration tests
• Participate in an agile scrum team and sprint rituals
• Collaborate with cross-skills team to understand designs and triage issues
• Create and document low-level designs
• Assist in promotion and delivery of digital transformation engagements

• Excellent hands-on experience with Java and associated technologies
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Hands-on knowledge of open-source tools, libraries and standards
• Some working knowledge of Docker
• Strong experience with Test Driven Development, unit tests, feature tests and test automation
• Experience in DevOps tooling and Continuous Delivery
• Good knowledge of non-functional drivers for design including performance tuning, profiling and debugging
• Knowledge of traditional and agile delivery methods
• Drive to further skillset and lead in the application domain
• Good knowledge of Open source and open standards
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in both traditional and agile delivery methods
