Overview

In this Java Software Engineer role, you will deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality in an agile, Scrum-based environment. You’ll produce code, tests, and integration artifacts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand designs and requirements. You will contribute to digital transformation engagements and help ensure robust, scalable applications. This role offers hands-on Java development with Spring Boot, DevOps tooling, and a focus on performance and quality. You’ll work in a global, inclusive culture that values continuous learning and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality implementation and documentation for critical functionality
  • Produce code, unit tests, feature tests, stubs and integration tests
  • Operate in an agile environment as part of a Scrum team and participate in sprint rituals
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple skills to understand designs and requirements and triage issues
  • Create and document low-level designs
  • Assist in the promotion and delivery of digital transformation engagements
Key requirements
  • Excellent hands-on experience with Java and associated technologies
  • Experience working with Spring Boot
  • Hands-on knowledge of open-source tools, libraries and standards
  • Some working knowledge of containers (Docker)
  • Strong experience with Test Driven Development, test coverage, unit tests, feature tests and test automation
  • Experience in DevOps tooling and Continuous Delivery
  • Good knowledge of non-functional drivers for design, including performance tuning, profiling, and debugging
  • Knowledge of both traditional and agile delivery methods
  • Drive and desire to further skillset and lead in the application domain
  • Good knowledge of Open source and open standards
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
