Overview

As a Core Java Engineer you will help maintain and enhance a market-leading Execution Management System used by buy and sell side clients. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure robust connectivity to exchanges and liquidity providers via FIX, FAST/FIX, SBE, and other protocols. The role centers on high-quality Java development, performance, and collaboration to support trading across Equities, Fixed Income, and FX. This is an excellent entry into trading and finance with a clear progression path and a hybrid London-based setup.

Responsibilities
  • Support the build and maintenance of the trading system
  • Write and implement high quality code
  • Update software programs
  • Identify root causes of software issues
  • Deploy software tools
  • Collaborate with other developers
Key requirements
  • Core Java experience
  • Web development with JavaScript (ReactJS or AngularJS) or willingness to learn
  • SQL
  • Interest in Maven, Git, TeamCity
  • Interest in building multithreaded applications
  • Bachelor/Master in Computing Science or STEM or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience
