A Tier 1 investment bank is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing front‑office eTrading team. The Role

As a Java Software Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design and development of high‑performance front‑office trading systems, contributing directly to the bank’s electronic trading and investment platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and developing high‑performance Java applications from the ground up
• Building and enhancing front‑office eTrading systems used in live markets
• Working closely with traders, product owners, and other front‑office technology teams
• Applying best‑in‑class engineering standards, including clean architecture and TDD
• Contributing to technical leadership and driving engineering best practices across the team

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline
• 4+ years’ experience in software engineering or a closely related role
• Strong expertise as a Java Software Engineer
• Proven experience working in a front‑office environment
• Experience with modern development practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
