Overview
As a Software Engineer III within the Digital and Platform Services team, you design and deliver scalable, secure, and trusted technology products in an agile environment. You’ll work on diverse domains—from mobile features to big data-driven performance, cloud integration, and payments innovation—shaping systems used by customers and clients. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and speed while ensuring secure coding and resiliency. Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient Java systems for iterative product improvements
- Implement secure, high-quality production code and maintain related algorithms
- Create architecture and design artifacts ensuring constraints are met
- Analyze large data sets to support continuous software improvement and reporting
- Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore emerging technologies
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to boost quality and speed, with peer review and secure coding checks
- Apply SDLC tools and automation to maximize value, including AI-assisted development
- Foster an inclusive team culture focused on diversity and respect
Key requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in Java
- Experience in coding for large corporate environments with modern languages and database querying
- Knowledge of SDLC and agile methods including CI/CD, resiliency, and security
- Experience with cloud, AI, ML, or related technical disciplines
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate outputs
- Understanding of responsible AI practices and secure handling of data
