As a Software Engineer III in JPMorganChase’s Digital and Platform Services, you join an agile squad to build trusted market-leading technology that is secure, stable, and scalable. You contribute to design, delivery, and continuous improvement of software products used by clients and internal teams. The role blends hands-on coding with architectural thinking to solve complex problems at scale. You will work with cross-functional partners to enable growth, innovation, and robust production systems.
Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable, resilient systems using Java
- Deliver solutions through coding, debugging, and troubleshooting with creative problem solving
- Produce secure, high-quality production code and maintain relevant algorithms
- Contribute to architecture and design artifacts while ensuring constraints are met
- Analyze large, diverse data sets to support continuous improvement with visualizations and reporting
- Identify data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice and explore new technologies
- Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding
- Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development, to boost automation value
- Foster a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in Java
- Experience building and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern languages and databases
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Knowledge of agile practices, CI/CD, resilience, and security
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and ability to validate outputs
- Understanding of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows
