Java Spring Boot Software Developer

Build Propel’s business-critical fintech platforms with Java and Spring Boot. Troubleshoot production issues while supporting lending and customer workflows.

As an Intermediate Software Developer, you will design, test, and maintain application changes across core platforms. The work includes Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate or JPA, REST, SQL, and database-backed applications. You will modernize established codebases while delivering reliable improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement changes across business-critical lending platforms
• Write efficient, clean, maintainable Java code
• Investigate production defects and data consistency issues
• Partner with product, QA, support, and DevOps
• Improve software quality through reviews and refactoring

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Five to seven years developing Java applications
• Hands-on Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate or JPA, and REST
• Strong debugging skills across APIs and databases
• Comfort working with SQL and legacy code
